Paying for Glory

Did you ever consider that when we pay to see a sporting event, or for admission to an art gallery or a play, we are paying to see the glory of God. We enjoy His greatness.

When we watch, and observe, and see the efforts of our fellow travelers, we are witnessing God's glory on display. They may not see it that way, but that is what's going on.

Glory, Goodness, and Grace - 3 G's Kicked up a notch

R.C. Sproul Jr. mentions the 3 G's in his resources.

  1. Who is God?
  2. What is God doing?
  3. What does God require?

I suggest that the answers to the 2nd question, "What is God doing?" can be listed as 3 more 'g's.
  • God is disclosing His glory
  • God is revealing His goodness
  • God is demonstrating His grace

All of these are extremely dramatic revealings of who He is.

His Glory
We see God's glory all around us and within us. And if we stop to think, He is stunning.

His Goodness
As we live life, we see the importance of goodness as well as the impossibility of goodness apart from the greatness of God. No being has successfully retained and maintained goodness apart from God's support and help. If God let's the being 'go it' on their own, failure occurs.

His Grace
God demonstrates his own love for us in this, while we were yet (evil) sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
